Rowan Garth
Rowan Garth is cosy a bungalow, and as such is well suited to those looking for accommodation without stairs.
With glorious views down the valley and easy access to open moorland just a stones-throw away at the top of the village, Rowan Garth is a perfect rural retreat.
Rowan Garth sports a large double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and underfloor heating.
There is a comfortable lounge with TV and WiFi and well equipped kitchen/diner.
Melmerby
A quiet hamlet in Coverdale. An ideal location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, with great scope for walking the moors direct from your door. A local pub which serves food is within walking distance, in the neighbouring village of Carlton.
Provisions can be found in the local market town of Leyburn, just 4 miles away, where you can also find several good pubs and restaurants.
Directions to Rowan Garth
Arriving from the south come off A1 at BEDALE turn off, follow the 684 to Leyburn.
Arriving from the north turn off A1 at Scotch Corner for Richmond then follow the signs to Leyburn.
Once in Leyburn follow the signs for A684 Hawes, through Wensley over the river then first left for Carlton. Stay on this road into Melmerby. Once in Melmerby take the 1st right up the hill. The drive for Rowan Garth is the first right (along with Oak Grange).
Note: there is another place called Melmerby, which is close to Ripon, so beware!
