Built as a family residence in the early 1800's for colonel Thomas Theakston, founder of the local brewery, Bellfield is a fine country mansion of superior architectural design. the picture windows overlook the 'bell' shaped field from which the name is derived.

Bellfield has been tastefully converted into self-contained apartments each slightly different in design; some catering for larger families and parties, others for couples. All have their own fully equipped private kitchen with cooker, microwave oven, refridgerator, kettle and toaster. In the cupboards you will find all the pots and pans, etc. Everything you need is provided except towels and tea towels. you will need some £1 coins for the electric meter.

Each appartment has its own private bathroom with both bath and shower. Lounge areas are well furnished with comfortabe chairs and colour televisions. A range of different size appartments are avaiable, with one gallery bedroom or one to three bedrooms to suit whatever you require. All bed linen is provided and beds are already made up for you when you arrive.



Bellfield is surrounded by beautiful ground offering plenty of space for picnics and chilren to play. Parking is also freely available. There is a pay phone provided along with local tourist information in the main hall. The pay phone number is (01765) 689 384 should you need to be contacted. Laundry facilities are available for washing, drying and ironing.
