Bellfield Country Suites established 1977 is a Victorian Country Mansion of superior architectural design, build approximately 1830 by Colonel Thomas Theakston, founder of the local brewery in historical Masham, as a family residence. The picture windows overlook the 'Bell' shaped field in front thus the name of the mansion. The Country Suite's occupy two thirds of the property, the west wing being a private dwelling therefore the entrance is from the Leyburn Road.

Brewing continues in Masham today by the Theakston family so please try the local brew- Theakston Old Peculiar and Black Sheep Brewery ales.

A delightful children's play area is towards the riverside which also has lovely river and circular walks to explore.

Masham holds annual historical events including the Masham Sheep Fair, Steam Rally.

Beautiful grounds offering plenty of space for picnics and children to play surround Bellfield.
